Softshell jackets, specified by layer build and finished weight
Our softshell jackets bond a woven face — 96% polyester / 4% spandex for stretch and abrasion resistance — to a 100% micro fleece lining. That two-layer build covers most staff and resale programs at finished weights of 280, 300, 330 and 400 GSM. Where weather exposure is real, the three-layer build inserts a breathable membrane between shell and fleece at 300, 320 or 350 GSM, with moisture-vapour transmission graded in three tiers: 500–1,000, 3,000–5,000 and 7,000–10,000 g/m²/24h.
The three-layer build is an option to evaluate when weather resistance is a priority. Its actual wind and moisture performance depends on the membrane tier, face fabric, seams, closures, fit and exposure, so it should be assessed on a sample for the intended work. Choosing between the builds is a working-environment question as well as a price question — the 2-layer vs 3-layer guide works through it, and the fleece vs softshell comparison covers when a plain fleece may be the better buy.
Program terms
The listed Three Layer Softshell Jacket SKU carries a 5,000-piece minimum. Minimums for two-layer builds and for other three-layer styles are confirmed per style at quotation. Because the fabric build is specified for the program, sampling (7 days) is used to review hand feel and finished weight before bulk. Production runs 35 days from China or 90–120 days from Myanmar at bulk scale. For logo-heavy or pattern-led programs, see custom softshell jackets.

Softshell — buyer questions
Is a softshell waterproof?
No. A woven face and, on three-layer builds, a membrane can improve wind resistance and may shed light moisture for a limited period, depending on the fabric, finish, seams, closures and exposure. That is conditional performance, not complete wind exclusion or waterproofing. Programs for sustained heavy rain should pair the softshell with a waterproof outer layer.
Which finished weight should a first program sample?
For two-layer, 300 GSM is the middle of the range and the most representative sample. For three-layer, sample 320 GSM at the mid breathability tier (3,000–5,000 g/m²/24h) unless your team's activity level clearly points to another tier.
Can the fleece lining color differ from the shell?
Shell and lining are separate fabrics, so a different lining color can be evaluated for a program. Availability, color approval and terms are confirmed at sampling and by quotation.
How does softshell sizing compare with your fleece jackets?
Do not assume that a fleece size L and a softshell size L are interchangeable. Each garment should be sized from its own chart and an approved sample, taking the intended under-layer into account. If the softshell must go over fleece, state that at spec stage so the chart and sample can be checked for that use.
